Goldman Sachs Asset Management has launched the Goldman Sachs MSCI World Private Equity Return Tracker UCITS ETF (GSPE) in Europe, listed on Deutsche Börse with a total expense ratio of 0.50%. The ETF seeks to replicate private equity market returns using publicly traded shares selected to mirror the sector, regional, and style exposures derived from MSCI’s extensive private capital data.
Unlike traditional private equity ETFs that invest directly in listed PE firms, GSPE tracks a custom index designed to simulate private equity behavior without direct investment in private assets. The fund is managed by Goldman Sachs’ Quantitative Investment Strategies team and forms part of the firm's broader push to expand access to private market-like strategies through liquid investment vehicles.
