1.8 Million Daily Transactions: Xrp Ledger Shows Key Growth Per Latest Report

Ripple's latest report shows that the XRP Ledger averaged 1.8 million daily transactions in the second half of 2025, with payment volumes totaling 20.9 billion XRP (approx. $43.73 billion). The median transaction fee remained low at 0.000012 XRP ($0.00002), and over 1.5 million XRP in fees (around $3.1 million) were burned across the last two quarters. Since its inception, the network has processed over 4 billion transactions while maintaining sub-cent transaction costs and supporting over 1,000 transactions per second.

Looking ahead to 2026, Ripple President Monica Long forecasts industry growth through stablecoins, tokenized assets, AI automation, and enhanced custody solutions. She expects that by 2027, institutional adoption will grow as regulated stablecoins enable round-the-clock liquidity in global capital markets, with B2B use cases driving expansion. She also predicts a deeper integration between blockchain and AI technologies in financial systems.

RippleX has issued a critical alert to XRPL node validators, urging them to upgrade to version 3.0.0 before network amendments go live on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The update includes five fixes—fixTokenEscrowV1, fixIncludeKeyletFields, fixMPTDeliveredAmount, fixAMMClawbackRounding, and fixPriceOracleOrder. Permissioned domains, aimed at institutional compliance, have also reached majority consensus and are slated for mainnet activation on Feb. 4.
