BNP Paribas Asset Management has identified five key ETF trends for 2026, highlighting continued global growth in ETF adoption, with inflows reaching EUR 325 billion in 2025. The firm notes a rising shift toward actively managed ETFs, with 70% of asset managers planning new launches within 12–18 months, reflecting broader interest in diversified strategies.
White label ETFs are gaining traction, with 40% of wealth managers considering developing their own products to meet demand for customisable and cost-efficient investment options. Retail adoption is also surging, particularly among younger investors and through digital platforms, while interest in ESG investing remains strong, especially low tracking error equity exposures, which accounted for 45% of total ESG flows last year.
