'Pay Attention': Xrp Ledger Validator Teases Major Adoption Feature
XRP Ledger validator Vet has expressed optimism about the integration of zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) on the XRP Ledger, highlighting their potential to enhance privacy and scalability. In a recent episode of Ripple's on-chain economy series, Aanchal Malhotra, Ripple’s Research Lead, emphasized the platform's progression beyond exploration toward prototyping ZKPs, aiming for programmable privacy and flexible application development.
Malhotra explained that XRPL is adopting a hybrid implementation of ZKPs to improve system performance while allowing developers to create varied privacy-focused tools. The technology is expected to enable interoperable, trust-minimized bridging, selective data disclosure for compliance, and scalable layer-2 transaction processing, potentially advancing XRPL toward broader adoption.
