Nasdaq Crypto Index Rebranded To Include Cme Partnership
The Nasdaq Crypto Index, originally launched with Hashdex in 2021, has been rebranded as the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index (NCI), signaling a new partnership with CME Group. Despite the rebranding, the index's asset selection methodology remains unchanged, with the only update being a new requirement for core custodians to have an Information Sharing Agreement with CME.
Tickers for Hashdex exchange-traded products tracking the index remain the same. NCIQ, previously called the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF, now tracks the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index, and similar rebranding has occurred internationally, including the Hashdex ETP in Europe (HASH) and HASH11 in Brazil.
