Institutions Still Eager To Buy Bitcoin: Cryptoquant Ceo
Institutional interest in Bitcoin remains strong despite recent volatility, according to CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju. He reports that custody wallets in the U.S., typically holding 100–1,000 BTC each, have added around 577,000 Bitcoins—worth about $53 billion—over the past year, driven by growing spot Bitcoin ETF adoption since January 2024.
Leading firms such as Strategy, which now holds 687,410 BTC, continue to increase their Bitcoin reserves, adding over 13,000 BTC last week alone. Meanwhile, veteran trader Peter Brandt predicts a major correction, suggesting Bitcoin could fall from its current $91,000 price to as low as $60,000 or even $50,000 due to market dynamics and potential future risks like quantum computing.
