F/M Investments Files Sec Application For Tokenised Etf Shares
F/m Investments has submitted an exemptive application to the SEC seeking approval to record ownership of tokenized shares of its F/m US Treasury 3 Month Bill ETF (TBIL) on a permissioned blockchain. The filing is believed to be the first of its kind by a registered investment company, aiming to enable blockchain-based settlement while maintaining compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and Rule 6c-11.
If approved, TBIL shares would retain their current structure, including rights, fees, and governance, while allowing for digital representation on both traditional and token-aware platforms. The initiative, in collaboration with The RBB Fund, Inc., comes amid growing industry efforts to integrate blockchain technology within regulated securities markets.
