BOJ Owns Two Thirds of ETF Assets In Japan
The Bank Of Japan has been reported to owning USD289 billion US dollars or 63 per cent of the assets in the ETFs industry in Japan at the end of July 2022. The ETF industry in Japan suffered net outflows of USD1.29 billion during July, bringing year-to-date net inflows to USD3.38 billion. Assets invested in the Japanese ETFs/ETPs industry have increased by 2.6 per cent from USD447 billion at the end of June to USD459 billion.
