Binance Announces Major 19-Pair Delisting With Defi, Ai, Meme Coins, Bitcoin And Ethereum In Focus
Binance will remove 19 spot trading pairs, including those involving Bitcoin and Ethereum, starting January 23 at 3:00 a.m. UTC. Affected pairs include AI/BTC, FIL/ETH, DYDX/FDUSD, LRC/ETH, XVG/ETH, and YFI/BTC, among others, as part of the exchange's effort to streamline trading by eliminating low-liquidity or fragmented markets.
While the underlying tokens remain tradable through other pairings like USDT, BNB, or FDUSD, the discontinuation of BTC and ETH pairs could impact traders relying on these for liquidity routing, arbitrage, or automated strategies. Binance described the move as a market quality optimization aligned with evolving trading patterns favoring stablecoin-based quote assets.
