We're seeking a business development director to help us initiate new institutional partnerships within our Asset Management unit. For more information, visit seic.com.What you will do:The role represents an excellent opportunity for a business development professionalYou will be responsible for targeting large wealth managers, distributors and family offices with SEI?s suite of asset management capabilitiesYou will focus on developing business relationships with new clientsYou will have an enterprise-first mindset and the ability to cross sell a range of SEI servicesYou will build on SEI?s reputation in the UK marketYou will have the ability to open and develop new client relationships and distribution channelsResponsibilities:Initiate and develop asset management relationships with large UK wealth managers, distributors and family officesAchieve new business asset and revenue targetsCreate, manage and execute territory go to market and sales plansDeliver high levels of activity to achieve goalsClearly and effectively present SEI investment and business propositionEvaluate and recommend improvements to support growthIdentify opportunities to introduce and cross sell other SEI services, including technology and operations capabilitiesEffectively work with asset management Solutions and Marketing teamsKeep current ? (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication of these with clients where appropriateAdhere to all relevant FCA requirements and compliance, completing all necessary training within the required timeframeFamiliarise yourself with Financial Promotions regulations and ensure that all financial promotions materials used have gone through the appropriate compliance approval processes (as a second line of defence with the individual representing the first line through close knowledge of the financial promotions requirements)Any other ad-hoc projects as requiredAll SIEL employees are responsible for the identification, assessment and control of risks and risk events. Employees will maintain a good understanding of applicable policies, procedures, risk appetites and tolerance relevant to their function and or business unit, and are expected to consider current and potential risks when making or informing business decisions. Employees are responsible for the accurate and timely escalation and recording of incidents associated to relevant risks. In addition, employees are responsible for completing all required Risk Management training.What we need from you:You will have a strong existing network with family offices and a track record of winning new businessYou will have an appetite and passion for business development and relationship managementA buyer centric mindset and strong desire to initiate new business relationshipsWillingness to build on IFA and wealth management industry and, investment management acumenExcellent presentation, communication, time management, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamRegulatory CategoriesSMCR - CertifiedThis role is identified as a certified role and is therefore subject to the relevant Senior Manager and Certification Regime Rules set by the FCA. This role will perform the following certified functions:Certification - Client Dealing - CD0 Meeting with ClientsCertification - Cert ManagerMiFID II - Staff giving information about investment products, investment services or ancillary servicesIt is essential that you hold or are working towards one of the following list of qualifications (or equivalent).
